A fine new Christian house of worship in the Dominican Republic has completed its nine-year building cycle with the installation of a high-end NEXO line array in its sanctuary. Templo El Calvario in Santo Domingo is now distinguished by a 6-a-side GEO M10 mid-size line array, augmented by LS18 subbass cabinets, and ID Series for under-balcony reinforcement and fills.

Yamaha M7CL Mixer. All Dante inputs and outputs
The system was designed by Roberto Tschopp of NEXO, working closely with Arlene Lomba of Giraldez, distributor of Yamaha and NEXO products in the Dominican Republic, and with the full support of Daniel Calzado, El Calvario’s technician. Local engineers Juan Pardilla and Marcos Segundo played an important role in the installation, which had to accommodate two large video screens at podium level.
With the GEO M10 arrays flying at a higher point than originally planned, the team had to add NEXO’s compact point-source ID Series speakers to the design, fitting them under the balcony to deliver coverage to the rear rows of seats. ID24s were also used for front fills.
With a Yamaha M7CL mixer at front-of-house, all inputs and outputs in the audio system run over a Dante network. The GEO M10 system and ID24 speakers are powered by nine DTDAmp1.3 units, together with some NEXO PS10s, used for stage monitoring
All the stage monitors and ID24 fill and under-balcony speakers were painted in a special RAL colour, including the grilles.
