Opera Wroclawska’s annual open-air production poses significant challenges for audio, with its wide stage, huge cast and extreme range of extreme pianissimo and fortissimo parts. “My main goal was to provide a sound system which could deliver as natural and uncoloured sound as possible. Using a large-format sound system like STM gives us a chance to deliver an exceptional experience for the audience. A 360° STM Series system was used for the Pulse-Twin Cities show, a large worship event staged in the US BANK Stadium in Minneapolis, USA. “We were impressed by the consistency in coverage we could achieve with a relatively small number of cabinets for one of the largest NFL stadiums in the USA. This is a testament to the power and off-axis response of the STM Series, which hit 120dBA Peak & 131dBC Peak at FOH on a calibrated NTI XL2 meter.” – Dan Brown, production company Reach Communications.

Europe’s largest classical music open-air event is staged in Luitpoldhain park. The natural auditorium, often called Europe’s greenest concert hall, is 400 metres wide, asking the main PA to throw 300m to the back of the audience area. “The absolute phase linearity of all the NEXO systems makes it possible to achieve this set up, and do so in a relatively short time.
