An open-air concert series at Sauerlandpark in Hemer featuring internationally renowned artists Anastacia, Ben Zucker, Lorenz Büffel and Mickie Krause took place last month when most of Europe was in the grip of an unprecedented heatwave.
Despite record-breaking temperatures, local event technology specialists acoustic NETWORK successfully delivered the complete technical production for all three days, ensuring flawless operation across audio, lighting, video and special effects.
The sound reinforcement system was based entirely on NEXO technology. The main PA consisted of six M46 line source modules and six B112 bass modules per side, complemented by three M28 downfill cabinets on each side.
Eight NEXO GEO M10 loudspeakers per side provided outfills, while a central P15 cluster and six M28 nearfill cabinets ensured even coverage across the audience area.
Low-frequency reproduction was delivered by a total of 42 NEXO S118 subwoofers. All loudspeaker systems were powered by NEXO NXAMP4X4 amplifiers operating on a fully networked Dante infrastructure, also using the easy to set up analogue fallback feature.
Stage monitoring included six NEXO P12 monitors, while NEXO P18 loudspeakers with L20 subwoofers served as sidefill, drum fill and DJ fill systems.
Front-of-house and monitor control was provided using Yamaha DM7, DM7 Compact, CL5, and RIVAGE PM5 digital mixing consoles.

With this successful concert weekend, acoustic NETWORK once again demonstrated the versatility, efficiency and professional performance of the NEXO STM, GEO M and P+ Series. Fast deployment times, high operational efficiency and excellent audience coverage proved ideal for Sauerlandpark Hemer, the concert area of which accommodates more than 10,000 visitors for large-scale open-air events.
