NEXO’s über-compact ID Series of full-range loudspeakers make their first appearance in Moscow’s luxury restaurant scene, installed in the new Matryoshka venue opened by the Andrey Dellos group.
With luxurious palace-restaurants like Turandot, and celebrity hang-outs like Café Pushkin, the Dellos empire also includes restaurants in Paris, many of which have fixed NEXO sound systems. Its latest opening is located in the heart of Moscow’s business district,: Matryoshka’s interior combines modern fashion trends with French furniture, custom ironwork and antique tiles, all in a two-storey building with panoramic view of the Moskva river.
On the menu for the first time are NEXO’s ID Series loudspeakers, providing a high-quality yet unobtrusive background music system. NEXO distributor SIM Russia (DJSOUND DIVISION) has designed and installed a zoned system using 17x ID24i cabinets, all discreetly installed within the exposed pipework fittings in the ceiling. The system, which includes 4x ID110i subbass speakers, is powered by just two NEXO NXAMP4x1 amplifiers.
The physical characteristics of the ID Series of loudspeaker cabinets are super-compact and low profile, perfect for a large space like Matryoshka where it can offer high SPL output with variable directivities enabling the speakers to ‘beam’ sound to where it is wanted.
Each ID24 full-range compact speaker uses twin 4” drivers in a V formation in combination with an HF compression driver offering different preset directivity options. The ID24i is tailored to the fixed installation environment with its termination in captive cable for fast, secure connectivity with existing wiring. It comes with threaded holes for compatibility with NEXO and popular third-party mounting hardware.
