Made in France
Each and every one of NEXO’s loudspeaker cabinets is designed and manufactured in France. Since 2007, the company’s headquarters have been located in modern purpose-built facilities, just 30 km north of Paris and close to Charles de Gaulle International Airport. NEXO has also a manufacturing plant in Saint-Pierre-de-Côle.
The NEXO campus
In an attractive rural setting, the NEXO campus is home to the 2000m2 dedicated R&D centre, the Engineering Support team including the demo facilities the highly-automated manufacturing plant, and the sales and administrative offices for the company. In the dedicated research and development block, NEXO’s acoustic design engineers bring the loudspeaker products to life.
Sophisticated computer simulation
Each new system begins with sophisticated computer simulations, executed by specialised proprietary software. The entire electro-acoustic signal chain is thoroughly modelled and product performance rigorously evaluated to maximise system performance. One of the most impressive facilities in R&D is the anechoic chamber. 12m x 8m x 6.5m, this chamber allows the R&D team to measure down to 28Hz.
Precision injection moulding
Moulded parts for the loudspeakers and injection-moulded cabinets are produced in our factories in France. All other manufacturing and assembly takes place on-site at NEXO on a high-tech responsive production line which is capable of some of the shortest lead times in the industry. Behind the R&D building are several hectares of field, ideal for testing line arrays in “festival” conditions. A permanent truss structure allows real-world testing and evaluation of the varied rigging solutions designed by NEXO for its concert sound systems.
Exporting to 90 countries
From the Paris campus, NEXO’s team orchestrates international export activities to over 90 countries via a loyal and long-established network of distributors. Paris is also the home of ETC, NEXO’s acclaimed Education, Training and Certification programme. Although the company’s Engineering Support team travels extensively around the world to conduct ETC masterclasses, the most popular sessions are hosted regularly ‘at home’ in Paris.
