Sun Infonet was supported by Scott Mason, NEXO’s roving technical specialist, who had travelled from Beijing for the event. He was impressed to see the NEXO inventory assembled by Sun, which encompassed the PS8, PS10 and PS15 systems with LS400 and LS600 subs, GEO S12 and GEO D modules with full flyware and rigging accessories, and plentiful examples of NEXO’s sub-bass products, the well-established CD18s and the newer RaySub models, RS15 and RS18.
“Our visitors could try out virtually everything they could think of,” reports Neeraj Chandra, Director of Sun Infonet. “Having such a large inventory on site gave them the opportunity to experiment with combinations in a way that is never normallly possible, due to shortages of equipment and time. This was a unique combination of technical instruction, followed by hands-on experience, all under Scott Mason’s expert tuition.”
In the compact full-range cabinet category, there was great interest in the new PS-R2 Series, featuring the recently relaunched PS10 and PS15 models. The R2 models were released last year, offering much improved SPL output. These good-looking cabinets have redesigned grilles and lots of new accessories to assist in touring applications as well as installation.
Outside, in the gardens of the Royal Orchid Resort, two NEXO line array systems were set up; GEO D and GEO S12 rigs were demonstrated using both NXAMP and CAMCO Vortex amplifiers, as well as a choice of subs. Scott Mason was kept busy talking visitors through the NEXO software for system management and control.
