Texen adds NEXO Alpha+ delays to its GEO M12 system at Club Peyrou

Following a highly successful inaugural edition in June 2025, Rockstore’s Club Peyrou returned to the Place Royale du Peyrou in the heart of Montpellier this month to do it all again, this time with a lineup that included The Blaze, Worakls, Kompromat, NTO, Kazy Lambist and Cebb.

A two-day electronic dance music festival in a south of France heatwave demands a sound system as reliable as it is powerful, so organisers again called on the services of the Occitanie office of production services specialists Texen who deployed an all-NEXO system for the event.

“We built a robust Dante network across the site connecting the main stage, a VIP area and a warmup stage which was used in the afternoons and between the main stage performances at night” reports Texen’s Julien Beffara.

“On the main stage we flew left and right arrays of 12 x active NEXO GEO M12s alongside 8 x MSUB18s, with 12 x centre-stacked NEXO L18 subs and 6 x NEXO P15s for front fills. We used P18s on L20 subs for side fills and P15s on L18 subs for DJ monitors.

“This year we used NEXO’s new Alpha+ system for delays and it was great to have a delay system we could stack quickly and easily, even though it was operating well within its capabilities in this application.”

Also delayed to the main stage were 4 of NEXO’s ultra-compact ID24s covering the VIP area, while speakers from NEXO’s versatile and industry-standard P+ point source range provided a surprisingly potent system for the warmup stage; this time in the configuration of 2 x P18 in active mode supplemented by 4 x S118 subs from NEXO’s STM Series, with a further 2 x P8 fills and P12/L15 stacks for DJ monitors.

The main stage was mixed on a Yamaha DM7 and the warmup stage on a DM3.

Bertrand Billon from NEXO’s Engineering Support team was onsite to assist with system tuning.

“Texen did a great job at Club Peyrou and the combination of GEO M12 for FOH and Alpha+ for delays provided excellent coverage of the 6,000 audience at the historic Place Royale du Peyrou.”
