NEXO’S GLORIOUS WEEKEND OF SPORT IN PARIS

At the Stade de France, a massive 300-cabinet stadium system was used for the final of the country’s rugby super-league, the Club 14 match between Toulouse and Montpelier.  Across Paris, the eyes of the world were on the epic contest between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in the final of the French Open at the Roland Garros Stadium, which now features NEXO GEO PA systems on both its showcourts.

Tech Audio has installed the single-array GEO D systems on both the Philippe Chatrier and Suzanne Lenglen courts at the Roland Garros Stadium, two of the best-known venues in professional tennis which welcome 15,000 and 10,000 spectators respectively.

Both courts have identical systems, featuring an array of 9x GEO D10 modules, the ideal solution for speech-based output.  Flown high above one corner of the grandstand, the system is extremely low-visibility yet it offers the optimum dispersion pattern.  There is no sound leakage from the Roland Garros environment, nothing to bother the rather wealthy neighbours!

The design for the two showcourts was created by Joel Giazzi of Tech Audio, working together with Jean-Jacques Vias and Paul Massiani of NEXO, using NEXO’s GEOSoft prediction and modeling software.
