The 2026 Africa Cup of Nations will remain a landmark moment for football fans, particularly thanks to the final played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, which was won by Senegal.
In front of more than 66,000 spectators and tens of millions of television viewers worldwide, this match took place in a completely rebuilt stadium, specially prepared for the event. The stadium was notably equipped with a new NEXO GEO S12 sound system, designed to provide an optimal audio experience for fans.
Following an initial installation phase carried out by SGTM and its subcontractor ENCOM for the inaugural match, the operators wanted to enhance the spectator experience further. They then called upon the Moroccan company LAMALIF, along with its expert partner Concept K, to reconfigure and expand the existing system.
“Inside the stadium, we recommended the addition of 20 clusters, each composed of three NEXO L20 subwoofers, to reinforce the low frequencies of the NEXO GEO S12 system,” explains Jérémie Kokot, sound designer and manager of Fleik.
“To extend the sound coverage towards the North Plaza, we also designed, with Concept K, a new NEXO STM system suspended beneath the façade. This consists of two lines of 9 x M46 Main modules and 9 x B112 Bass modules, complemented by three M28 modules.”
These two projects were carried out jointly by Concept K, Fleik and the operational teams of LAMALIF, each contributing according to their area of expertise.
“We have in-depth knowledge of NEXO solutions and their suitability to our needs, as well as a long-standing relationship of trust established with their teams, through numerous permanent installation projects,” reports Antoine Secondino, co-founder of Fleik.
The project also benefited from close support from NEXO’s engineering team. “From the very first phases, their engineers provided us with crucial technical expertise to refine our choices according to our constraints and objectives. The team remained fully committed until the final tests to validate the audio performance and guarantee a result that met our expectations” continues Antoine.
The system’s performance proved particularly impressive in a stadium broadcast environment. Thanks to the NEXO NS-1 simulation software, consistent coverage was achieved across all stands and spectator areas, without any dead zones or tonal imbalances. The precise broadcasting, combined with excellent speech intelligibility, ensured perfect understanding of announcements and audio content, despite the complex acoustics.
“Furthermore, the integration with the NEXO NeMo monitoring system and the use of the Dante protocol has strengthened the reliability and flexibility of operation, by facilitating signal distribution, routing and adaptation to the different event uses of the stadium,” concludes Antoine.
The end result offers stable, consistent, and high-performance broadcasting, perfectly suited to the requirements of an infrastructure of this scale.

NEXO signe la bande-son de la finale de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations
La Coupe d’Afrique des Nations 2026 restera un moment marquant pour les amateurs de football, notamment grâce à la finale disputée au stade Prince Moulay Abdellah de Rabat, remportée par le Sénégal.
Devant plus de 66 000 spectateurs et des dizaines de millions de téléspectateurs à travers le monde, cette rencontre s’est tenue dans une enceinte entièrement reconstruite et spécialement préparée pour l’événement. Le stade a notamment été équipé d’un nouveau système de sonorisation NEXO Geo-S, conçu pour offrir une expérience sonore optimale aux supporters.
Après une première phase d’installation assurée par la SGTM et son sous-traitant ENCOM à l’occasion du match inaugural, les exploitants ont souhaité aller plus loin dans l’expérience spectateur. Ils ont alors fait appel à la société marocaine LAMALIF, accompagnée de son partenaire expert Concept K, afin de reconfigurer et d’étendre le dispositif existant.
« À l’intérieur du stade, nous avons recommandé l’ajout de 20 clusters composés chacun de trois caissons de graves NEXO L20, afin de renforcer les basses fréquences du système NEXO GEO S12 », explique Jérémie Kokot, sound designer et dirigeants de Fleik.
« Pour étendre la couverture sonore vers le parvis nord, nous avons également imaginé avec Concept K, un nouveau système NEXO STM suspendu sous l’enveloppe de la façade. Celui-ci se compose de deux lignes de neuf modules M46 “Principal” et de neuf modules B112 “Basse”, complétées par trois modules M28. »
Ces deux chantiers ont été menés conjointement par Concept K, Fleik et les équipes opérationnelles de LAMALIF, chacun intervenant selon son domaine d’expertise.
« Nous disposons d’une connaissance approfondie des solutions NEXO et de leur adéquation à nos besoins, ainsi que d’une relation de confiance établie de longue date avec leurs équipes, à travers de nombreux projets d’installations permanentes », soulignent Antoine Secondino co-fondateur de Fleik.
Le projet a également bénéficié d’un accompagnement étroit de la part du support d’ingénierie NEXO. « Dès les premières phases, leurs ingénieurs nous ont apporté une expertise technique déterminante pour affiner les choix en fonction de nos contraintes et de nos objectifs. L’équipe est restée pleinement mobilisée jusqu’aux tests finaux afin de valider les performances audio et de garantir un résultat à la hauteur des attentes », poursuit-il.
Les performances du système se sont révélées particulièrement convaincantes dans un contexte de diffusion en environnement stade. Grâce au logiciel de simulation NEXO NS-1, une couverture homogène a été obtenue sur l’ensemble des tribunes et des zones spectateurs, sans zones d’ombre ni déséquilibres tonals. La précision de la diffusion, combinée à une excellente intelligibilité vocale, a assuré une parfaite compréhension des annonces et des contenus audio, malgré une acoustique complexe.
« Par ailleurs, l’intégration au système de monitoring NEXO NeMo & l’utilisation du protocole Dante a renforcé la fiabilité et la flexibilité de l’exploitation, en facilitant la distribution du signal, le routage et l’adaptation aux différents usages événementiels du stade », conclut Antoine.
Le résultat final offre une diffusion stable, homogène et performante, parfaitement adaptée aux exigences d’une infrastructure de cette envergure.
