A new nightlife destination opened last month in the famous Old Port in the southern French city of Marseille.
At 23 Place Thiars, La Bonbonne combines a restaurant, lounge area and dancefloor promising guests delicious food and drinks along with great tunes and a party atmosphere.
Impressed by the sound of systems installed by local event and AV technology specialists HK at other venues they visited in the city, management of the new club contacted owner Hicham Kasseh to design and install the system at La Bonbonne.
“We chose NEXO P+ Series speakers for their reliability, precision, and their ability to deliver a powerful and clear sound throughout the room” reports Hicham.
“Their excellent coverage and bass quality were essential and NEXO also allows for precise control of sound energy, ensuring the sound remains even and pleasant no matter which area of the club you’re in.”
For the dancefloor and restaurant, 4 x NEXO P12s provide plenty of power while maintaining great clarity in the mids and highs. For fills and secondary zones, the smaller NEXO P8 was chosen for its compact size and ability to deliver a clear and defined sound in smaller spaces.
A pair of P8s is also used for precision DJ monitoring and 4 x NEXO L15 subs across the front deliver deep and controlled bass, ensuring a solid low-end without saturating the room.
Each loudspeaker is strategically positioned to offer optimal coverage and ensure a coherent experience from the restaurant to the dancefloor, and the installation of further P8s is planned for the terrace in the summer season, seamlessly extending the sound experience outside the venue.
“Since the installation, the feedback has been very positive” says Hicham in conclusion.
