Liverpool exudes an energy that’s palpable. Corporate, sports, education and cultural sectors appear to share the same ambition and determination to achieve success at the highest level and central to an events industry that spans all four is production company MSP Global, which this year celebrates 25 years of AV excellence in the city.
Founded by Colin Reader and Lisa Richards, MSP began with a clear mission to combine technical excellence with exceptional client service. What started with a small team and a few projects has evolved into a comprehensive event services provider offering full technical event production, creative content production, AV equipment hire and staging solutions, video and live streaming services, event design, lighting, and sound.

Three recent projects typify the diversity of events covered by MSP. Back in the summer, the crew had just 15 minutes post-match to wheel a total of 16 stacks of NEXO GEO M series onto the pitch at Goodison Park as the Everton football team celebrated the final game before moving to their new home at the Hill Dickenson Stadium.
In October, the MSP team deployed its inventory of NEXO P+ Series point source speakers for an audience of 400 at the Women of the Year Lunch and Awards, hosted by actor, comedian and presenter Mel Giedroyc in celebration of a community of women leading with purpose, inspiring change, and making a lasting difference to the lives of others.
Thanking the MSP team for their work on the production, Laura Hamer of organisers LAH Events said “It was wonderful to have the opportunity to work with you again. The show went seamlessly which is the number one aim – thanks so much for being a part of it.”
A month later came the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards where the enormous venue of Liverpool Cathedral called again for the deployment of MSP’s compact and powerful NEXO GEO M line array system, this time configured as main left and right ground stacks of 6 x GEO M10 tops on 3 x MSUB15s, 2 x NEXO P12 front fills, then 6 x P12 and 2 x P15s on 2 x L18SUBs for delay speakers. As usual, amplification and processing came from NEXO NXAMPMk2 Powered TD Controllers which feature phase coherent processing presets for all NEXO cabinets, making it easy to configure systems combing line and point source speakers from different ranges.
