Hailing from San Bernadino, California, Fuerza Regida took to the stage at Plaza de Toros La México in Mexico City back in October on the band’s Pero No Te Enamores tour.
Exploring a more EDM-influenced sound than on their previous albums, seven of which hit the Top 10 of the US Regional Mexican Albums Chart, the band thrilled a 45,000-strong audience performing ‘in the round’ with a massive NEXO STM system providing complete audience coverage in the circular outdoor venue which is the world’s largest bullring.
Three Mexican NEXO STM rental companies combined inventory to deploy eight main clusters of 12 x STM M46 boxes with 3 x M28 down fills, with pairs of line arrays at each corner of the square stage firing out at angles to deliver 360-degree coverage, from the lowest to the highest tier.
A total of 80 x NEXO STM S118 subs were ground stacked in pairs in omni mode across all 4 stage fronts, with NEXO PS15 R2s for front fills and NEXO’s legendary Alpha system from the 1990s for side fills.
“The NS-1’s design was key to achieving consistent coverage throughout the bullring, offering excellent performance at sound pressure levels (SPL) and maintaining the unmatched sonic signature that characterizes the STM system. Thanks to its modular design, it was possible to assemble using a single column” comments Brand Leader and Market Development Manager Diego Martinez from Representaciones de Audio, NEXO’s distributor in Mexico.
“Under the leadership of our rental partner Tecnoson Espectáculos, responsible for the production and design of the audio system, and with the valuable support of ROA Producciones and Star Guadalajara, did a great job together and the sound was really good, right around the arena” comments Brand Leader and Market Development Manager Diego Martinez from Representaciones de Audio, NEXO’s distributor in Mexico. “Once again, STM proves it can deliver at the largest and most complex events.” adds Diego.
