NEXO STM MAKES ITS DEBUT IN PERU

Birthday party celebrations included a large music festival, where NEXO’s modular line array STM made its Peruvian debut, in a special collaboration between Sonotec Peru and Corporacion Cervantes. These two large rental companies presented several concerts featuring bands like Daddy Yankee and the Fabulous Cadillacs on the giant stage of Cerro Juli, to audiences of nearly 25,000 at a time.

For the Cerro Juli stage, the partnership between system engineers Osmar Moreno (Sonotec) and Henry Cervantes (Corporacion Cervantes) configured the STM system in this way.

15x M46 main and 15x B112 bass cabinets per side

15x S118 subs per side, coupled at 85Hz in a stereo configuration.

GEO S8 sidefill

PS15s front fill

8 mixes of 45°N-12 line monitors on stage

With SPL at FOH measured at 111 dBA, dispersion was equally impressive.  “The system not only has a perfect sound, it is also important to note that it delivers the same spectrum to the last row of the audience,” said Jaime Cervantes, owner of the company.

Other stars discovering the STM line array in Peru included American singer-songwriter Prince Royce also known as “ El principe de la bachata”, at his concert in Lima, and leading Peruvian band Corrazon Serrano.

NEW STM CUSTOMER:

The orchestra of Cumbia, founded in 1993 and now one of the leaders in Peru. This year, in order to celebrate its 21st anniversary, the orchestra decided to purchase a sound reinforcement system which could work for them at concerts with audiences from 15.000 to 20.000 persons.

The criteria were exceptional; the orchestra tours all over Peru, in sometimes extreme weather conditions, and at altitudes in excess of 5,000 meters.

After an impressive STM demo from Sonotec, NEXO’s Peruvian distributor, the decision was taken to buy the modular line array.

“We have never heard an audio system such powerful!  We were glad to take the right decision to purchase the STM,” said the Orchestra’s owners, brothers Lorenzo and Edwin Guerrero Neyra. STM made its debut in front of 25,000 fans, during the Orchestra’s 21st anniversary concert.

Thanks to Roberto Tschopp from Nexo, Osmar Morno from Sobnotec and the room’s orchestra engineer Beto Navarro.
