NEXO JOINS WOMEN’S MARCH IN CHICAGO

The Women’s March drew a crowd of 250,000, making it one of the largest protests in Chicago’s history, indeed one of the largest crowds for the event anywhere in the world.

Sound rental company Sound Works Productions (Mokena, IL) had a challenging job in logistical terms, working hard and fast to handle an event which grew larger and larger, with supporters flooding into side streets.

Sound Works were providing audio, delay audio, IMAG video, assistive listening systems and power to support the various speakers and artists gathered in the city’s Grant Park. For the main stage, the company chose a NEXO GEO S12 system, comprising 14x S1210 modules with 2x S1230s, all powered by four NX4x4 Amps.

“We received the call to provide production for the Women’s March in Chicago about three weeks before the event,” stated Daniel Nickleski, COO, Sound Works Productions. “The biggest challenge we had to overcome with this event was getting the whole production from the truck to ‘show-ready’ in three hours due to expected street closures. With a lot of logistical planning and our NEXO GEO S12 system that comes pre-rigged in cases of four, we were able to make it happen. At the end of the day, it was an extremely successful event!”
