Delivered either online or in person, NEXO Audioversity training sessions are the perfect way for sound professionals, consultants and installers to extend their knowledge of general acoustic principles while accessing specific NEXO system training, covering everything from system design and deployment through to system installation. Approved by Avixa as an RU provider, Renewal Units are earned for successfully completing the seminars.
Organised by local NEXO distributor Luxson, the latest Audioversity sessions saw the NEXO training team and staff from eight of Austria’s leading event services companies gather in late March at the extraordinary Dom im Berg in Graz. Buried inside and mountain, this unique rock and electronic music venue covers an area of 733 square metres with a height of 11 metres and is popular with artists and audience alike, not least for its much-loved NEXO Alpha sound system. Acoustics are surprisingly good, thanks to some innovative wall panelling, and the party can continue long into the early hours of the morning as disturbing the neighbours is not a problem.
“All fourteen of the people on the course were experienced NEXO users and very familiar with our GEO S12 and PS Series systems, so this was all about training on NEXO’s latest GEO M12 and P+ Series” reports NEXO Head of Training Nicolas Poitrenaud. “We were able to configure and listen to a range of different set-ups from flown to ground-stacked, with cardioid subwoofer configurations also on the menu. The sessions concluded with advanced training on NEXO’s NS-1 system configuration and NeMo system monitoring software, providing those attending the course with a great opportunity to consolidate their knowledge and ensure the optimal deployment of NEXO systems at future events.”
