Event production company Šviesiai Garsiai began its partnership with NEXO in 2023, and a busy 2025 season of events across Lithuania for the Vilnius-based sound and lighting specialists has served to showcase the versatility and scalability of their NEXO GEO M12 line array.
It all kicked off in April when the country’s UTMA combat sports organisation hosted a mixed martial arts (MMA) and kickboxing event bringing together some of Lithuania’s best-known fighters at the Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas.
The main goal for the event sound was to design and deploy a system that would give good sound everywhere in the arena without blocking the view of the central LED screen cube. The solution came in the form of six compact, yet powerful line arrays supplemented by point source speakers drawn from a total of 46 x NEXO GEO M12s, 32 x MSUB18s and 8 x ID24s, with amplification and processing from 9 x NEXO NXAMPMk2 Powered TD Controllers.
In May, the vibe was very different at the Vilnius Pink Soup Festival which took place in various locations around the capital, in celebration of Lithuanian’s love for cold beetroot soup (šaltibarščiai)!
It all culminated in a final concert in the Town Hall Square featuring some of the country’s most famous bands, powered once again by NEXO GEO M12, this time deployed in main left and right hangs of 9 supplemented by 24 x MSUB18s, 2 hangs of 6 x GEO M12 for delays and 4 x NEXO P12 point source front fills.
The versatile P12 also featured on stage for wedge monitoring, with NEXO NXAMPMk2s providing amplification and processing for the full system.
In July, the Šakių miesto šventė concert at the city’s football stadium featured more top-level performers and called for a bigger system to cover a larger audience area. Once again, NEXO GEO M12 performed faultlessly in a scaled-up configuration comprising main L and R hangs of 12 boxes, 6 x GEO M12s for out fills, and a further 12 for delays, with LF from a total of 36 x MSUB18s and 6 x P12s on stage for monitors.
Also in July, a similar GEO M12 system configuration was deployed for concerts in the City Square of Širvintos, although this time without the requirement for delays.
Throughout a busy summer of events, NEXO GEO M12 also showed its credentials as a touring system on a series of gigs by famous Lithuanian performer Andrius Mamontovas, proving easy to transport, quick to rig and highly effective in a wide range of indoor and outdoor venues across the county.
“NEXO GEO M12 handles everything we throw at it” reports Dovilas Savickas, head of sound at Šviesiai Garsiai on a rare break between shows. “It gives us the scalability and versatility to take on all kinds of events, and it always delivers.”
