Stuart Kerrison will be joining the NEXO team primarily to work in the European territories, but liaising with the elite tour sound companies all over the world. He has a long track record at the very highest level of the professional sound engineering business, and will bring real-world expertise and experience to NEXO’s activity in the concert and tour sound sector,
Now resident in Oslo, Kerrison is in fact a Brit who lived in Australia until the mid-1980s. For 26 years, he has been a professional front-of-house engineer, touring the world with INXS, Erasure, Paul Weller, the Utah Saints and, notably, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, a band he is still mixing to this day. As well as working in the studio, Kerrison has extended his experience in the music business to include PA rental company management, product distribution and sales, and is still active as an audio system designer. As head of the audio department at leading Norwegian PA company Frontlite, he was directly responsible for the purchase of a large NEXO GEO T system, and he has designed systems for numerous high-profile events including the annual Nobel Peace Prize concert, the Hove Festival and VG Topp 20 (Norway’s largest outdoor events).
NEXO’s marketing manager Joe White described the appointment as “an important milestone, the first time that NEXO has recruited an operational expert and put him into the field solely to support our customers, and to provide a user’s-eye-view to system designers and engineers that are coming afresh to our product design philosophy. Stuart has been there and done it at the highest level, and putting his wealth of knowledge at the disposal of our user network shows that NEXO is 100% serious about the tour sound business globally.”
