Built on the artificial Port Island in Kobe, the World Memorial Hall is a modern, multi-purpose arena optimised for large scale events. This was the band’s second nationwide concert tour of Japan and was in support of their second Japanese studio album, Treasure Box.

System engineer for the concert, Tatsuya Arakawa, was in charge of the NEXO system and configured a main L/R hang, each comprising 18x GEO T4805 long-throw vertical array modules and 2x GEO T2815 tangent array modules, with a further 9x GEO T4805s per side as side fill. Additionally, Hibino deployed 10x CD18 cardioid subwoofers per side, while 4x PS15-U speakers per side provided front fill.  Side fill monitoring was via 2x NEXO Alpha B1 high powered bass modules and an Alpha M3 high output mid-high module. NX242ES4s provided processing and system control via an EtherSound network and an AVS monitor.

“The sound was extraordinarily good, as is always the case when using NEXO,” comments Arakawa.
