STM RIGGING SEALS THE DEAL WITH TAKENAKA IN JAPAN

President Hideaki Takenaka was particularly struck by the STM rigging system, including the patented ‘RedLock’ and ‘Piston Rig’ devices that allow engineers to make all connections from the back of the line array modules.  Another essential point is the modular concept – Scale Through Modularity – which enables system use in a variety of settings regardless of event type and scale.

TAKENAKA Chief Engineer Mr Ouchi explains that “in a typical line array, the middle-low range tends to be weak, but STM really fills it in with the bass module.  And the fact that you can rearrange modules freely according to the type of event is really attractive.  Another key feature of STM is that you can really control the horizontal dispersion, so. Even though it’s an array system, you can get stereo sound over a large area.”

Going forward, TAKENAKA will propose packages for different applications, offering new value that blends sound with visual events.  NEXO distributor Yamaha Music Japan Co. Ltd will continue to watch future trends like these carefully.
