Recently opened in the city of Changzhou, Phantom Billiards is the largest club in the world exclusively featuring top quality and highly regarded Joe’s tables – 115 in total.
Reflecting the extraordinary popularity of the sport in China, the club covers some 7,000 square metres, encompassing a lobby and reception, VIP area and main public hall.
Determined to provide players with a comprehensive, high-end experience extending beyond the finest quality playing conditions, the club’s owners approached pro audio specialists Shanghai Haoyun to propose a high-performance sound system for the venue.
“For the industry benchmark Phantom Billiards, the sound reinforcement system is not an accessory in the background, but a core experience component to shape the overall atmosphere , inspire the competitive spirit and serve high-end customers” reports Haoyun Sales and Marketing Manager Alvin Lu.
“So, we designed a system using a total of 34 x NEXO ePS12 point source speakers distributed throughout the club, powered by 4 x NEXO NXAMP4X2s with 2 speakers per channel.

At the front of the system is a Yamaha DM3 compact digital mixer, combining a wealth of professional features with straightforward setup and operation to provide venue staff with a flexible, easy to use control solution.
