Seating for the Doobies was wide and deep and called for a larger system than used previously at Street Scene. With factory support from Yamaha/NEXO (in the form of product specialist Joe Rimstidt) SEAS deployed and tuned the system (seen here) of 12x D10s and 6x CD18s per side. A GEO S rig was utilized for "outfill" coverage, with hangs of 11x per side.

The Doobie Brother's Production Manager (and FOH engineer), Terry Nelson, was a little skeptical about using a brand new rig at first. His doubts were quickly erased when he fired up the rig before soundcheck though. Mr. Nelson's show mix was VERY musical and exciting - representing and perfectly complimenting the band's inspired performance. (SEAS owner Mitch Grant promises the Doobies can still ROCK!). Grant also observed that the spatial aspect of Terry Nelson's mix was especially evident throughout the listening area, providing an extraordinary "soundstage"!

Terry commented: "I like this rig!, plenty of headroom. It sounded the same everywhere. Even after the sun went down and the temperature dropped....what I started out with during sound check, was what I ended up with. That's unusual! A very good imaging and very forgiving system."
