NEXO NAMED AS `ARENA SOUND SYSTEM OF THE YEAR`

NEXO ALPHA has been crowned the Arena Sound System of Year 2000 by the live sound engineering community in the USA, in readers' poll conducted by LIVE SOUND! International magazine. The award rounds off a hugely successful year for NEXO in the States, where the NEXO USA team has exceeded expectations and targets.

London-based sound and lighting production company, Wise Productions, has just invested in 8x NEXO PS8 loudspeakers complete with PS8 TDcontroller supplied by ShowCom of Birmingham, with a view to purchasing a further 8x cabinets plus controller in December. The inaugural event for the new system takes place in the brand new section of the Science Museum, the recently opened Wellcome wing.

FAITHFUL FLOCK TO NEXO IN SOUTH AFRICA

The Little Falls Christian Center in Roodeport, near Pretoria, has seen a 10-fold increase in its congregation since constructing a new house of worship and installing a NEXO sound reinforcement system.

NEXO ALL-STARS IN ROME

A charity football match called "The Game of the Heart" was recently held in a packed Olimpico stadium in Rome. As well as collecting charity funds, the game was also in favour of peace in the Middle East and was played in front of a crowd including Yasser Arafat, ex-Israeli Prime Minister Peres, Italy’s premier Ciampi and other personalities including Sean Connery.

CONCERT SYSTEMS TRIUMPH AT VOODOOFEST 2000

Voodoofest is fast becoming one of the highlights of the New Orleans live music season. Held in the City Park’s Marconi Meadows, the day-long event featured three main stages, and attracted a total audience in excess of 50,000 to see performances by rock and rap royalty ranging from Eminem to the Stone Temple Pilots.

NEXO IN HELSINKI CASTLE

Kaarle XII is one of the most popular music clubs in Helsinki, Finland, and has recently taken delivery of a new NEXO PS15 PA system. The club occupies a 100-year old castle in the heart of the city, and is usually filled to its 1000-capacity with affluent 30-year-old Finns, entertained by a mainstream European pop playlist.
